Welcome to my world, or at least the highlights. I’ve been hoping to get this blog up for quite some time and it’s long overdue (by several months). If you’ve been waiting on me to get this blog up and running, I thank you for your patience. If you’re just getting to know me via the web - helping people manage debt, blogging about personal-development, brokering heavy construction equipment, through twitter, linkedin, merchantcircle, or Facebook – this particular site is the best place online to get to know me. I welcome any suggestions about anything to make this site better.

Entrepreneur
I’ve always considered myself an entrepreneur, but I think serial entrepreneur is more accurate. I started my first business at age 25 and have owned or been a partner in 4 other ventures since then. I like to try new things in business and I’ve been fortunate to be able to work with friends in most of these endeavors. Here are the business developments I’m currently pursuing:
UFirst Financial Branch Manager. Since October 2006, I’ve been a UFirst agent and I have grown my branch to be the largest in the Lafayette area by helping people get out of debt the fastest way possible with on-going coaching and a web-based software that is much more than a debt pay off calculator…it’s a financial GPS.
Agent/Recruiter for the Alliance Group with Western Reserve Life. The Alliance Group offers an exclusive, proprietary life insurance product with a few extra valuable and unique benefits for clients, at no extra cost. I like this product because it pays the insured person a substantial benefit for critical illness, chronic illness, and terminal illness, in addition to the death benefit, without charging you any extra premiums. I always try to be on the cutting edge of new and innovative financial products, and this is one that can absolutely save people from financial disaster.
Cajun Carts. Lafayette, LA. Cajun Carts sells, rents, and leases new, used, and custom golf carts. Vehicles for leisure, sporting, and light work…really fun stuff. Until I started working with Cajun Carts, I had no idea how big and diverse the market is for these vehicles.
CNS Equipment. In mid-2008, I told a close friend that I was taking a couple of online courses to learn about internet marketing. At which point, he offered to cut me in on one of his businesses brokering heavy construction equipment. Here’s the deal, I set up all the online marketing – the website, blogs, linking, etc. – when leads come in, he handles the sales transaction and delivery.
We did exhaustive research online and we made absolutely sure that we offer the lowest prices on heavy equipment (like bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, and dumpers). Our prices are lower than 99% of any others found online (It’s really 100% based on our research, but I’m allowing for the unknown rare, odd exception). Our prices are really impossible to beat. And when you’re talking about a $100,000, $200,000 or even $1,000,000 piece of equipment, the savings you get with us is huge.
Business Broker Affiliate. I’m also a hunter/door-opener for a notable business broker in my area. NOTE THIS OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU: If you know the owner(s) of a private company, that has had at least $5,000,000 in annual revenue for the past 5 years, who might want to sell it, let me know. If a deal gets done through my Broker, I’ll split my commission with you down the middle. Email me at shayne@hall-partners.com.
Student of Personal Development
I feel like a self-improvement junkie and probably would benefit from group therapy, lol. I’m constantly reading articles, newsletters, and books about relationships, spirituality/Christianity, finances, health, and psychology. These are the basic building blocks of human existence and God is our foundation. If you’ve got those areas in good working order, you are going to be happy/fulfilled/at peace no matter what seemingly negative circumstances you may be dealing with at the moment.
But let one or more of those life fundamentals break down and your happiness and peace of mind is at serious risk. You will be, and feel, out of balance. Being out of balance causes stress, doubt, anxiety, fear, illness, and sorts of negative manifestations. I believe the solution is to recognize that each of these key areas overlap and affect all the other key areas, to nurture each of them daily at least in some small way, and trust God to help you work it out.
My other blog is “The Whole Person” offering you useful, practical ideas, resources, articles, and commentary on each of the vital areas of your life:
-
Relationships
-
Spirituality/Christianity
-
Financial
-
Health
-
Psychology
I’ll try to post new and interesting, but especially helpful, material weekly at “The Whole Person” and I’ll be counting on you to help with submissions and posts. Even though we’ll be dealing with serious topics, I want to keep it fresh and fun because, like Chris Rock said, “If it ain’t new, it’s through,” and because I truly wish you happiness, health, and wealth.
